For the first time, Jackie Shroff will be seen in a Marathi film to be directed by Renuka Shahane. The film titled Rita, which is based on her mother Shanta Gokhale's novel Rita Venlingkar. The film is produced by Pooja Shetty and will star Pallavi Joshi in the lead. The story is based on the journey of a girl from the age of 17 to 40.
Jackie's immediate next release is Mirchi Movies' Hari Puttar A Comedy Of Terrors. "I am playing a cameo in the film. I have Rohit Kaushik's Chehre with Manisha Koirala, Gulshan Grover, Divya Bharati and Hrishta Bhatt next then there's Samir Karni's Ek The Power Of One Manisha Koirala once again and Pakistani actor Muammar Rana." Jackie tells us.
"What I am looking forward to more is my Sai Baba role in Maalik Ek being directed by Deepak Balraaj Vij. I have lost oodles of weight and also given up smoking and drinking for this role. It is going to be the role of a life time. It is a dream come true for me. Sai Baba has made me perform the role so well." Jackie concludes.
