This thin line between the 'haves' and the 'haves not' will become crystal clear as the journey to the ultimate singing talent on Amul Star Voice of India Mega Music league will take a more serious turn on Friday, September 26.
The top six contestants namely Vipul from Punjab, Rohit and Saptaparna from Seven Sister states, Zakir from Chhattisgarh, Ritisha from Bangalore and Ravi from Delhi will walk a tight rope as the judges will announce the elimination of the weakest among them from the show.
On Friday, the show opened with Shaan, the anchor welcoming a leading singer of the country, the heart-throb of the nation, a true rock star – Shaan. Yes, this week, the freaky Friday episode brings with it a spectacular Shaan special based theme on Amul Star Voice of India Mega Music League.
Shaan began the musical evening with his song Milo Na Milo and set the bar high for the other contestants to match up to him. A usually shy, down-to-earth and introvert Shaan was self-conscious, infact, rather hesitant acknowledging his name, fame and talent on national television.
The young talents on the show were thrilled to sing Shaan's songs in front of the man himself. The girls had a blast since they got to sing a duet with Shaan.
Saptaparna sang Kuch Na kaho with Shaan while Ritisha grooved to the melodious Kuch to hua hai with him. The girls were lauded for their guts to be able to match their chord with a singer like Shaan.
Whereas, the boys were in a tight spot afraid of being judged by the man who sang these flawless numbers with ease.
Ravi sang one of Shaan's greatest hit-Dus bahane and impressed everybody so much so that Anjum, a huge fan of Ravi professed her love for the him, and embarrassed Ravi. Shaan was impressed with his singing while Ismail thought Ravi needed to practice a lot more in the coming weeks to make it to the top.
Vipul sang Jab se tere naina but failed to create the magic which Shaan had created in his award winning song.
Rohit sang One love and won appreciation from Monty, Sukhwinder and Shaan. Ismail encouraged Rohit saying that he owed a great deal to his his villagers and should work hard to make them proud of him someday.
Even Monty cited that he has the potential to become the next Voice of India. Before Zakir could sing Chand sifarish, Sukhi gave him a few tips on singing. Zakir's expression and his soulful singing impressed all the judges and Shaan.
But no one could never in their wildest dreams predict the turn of events after the performances. It was chaotic. The elimination announcement stirred up violence and angry outburst among the audiences present.
It made the audiences shout in disagreement and protest loudly. Security had to be called in to bring the situation under control. No amount of pacifying the crowds helped calm their fury.
