Principal cast of Mukesh Bhatt's next film has finally been locked. Titled Jashn, the film would now star Adhyayan Suman, Anjana Sukhani, Shahana Goswami, and Pakistani import Humayun Saeed as the four principal protagonists.

Confirms Raksha Mistry, co-director of Jashn who would be beginning work along with Hasnain Hyderabadwala for their third film together after The Killer and The Train, "Inshallah we are positively moving ahead with Jashn.

Though there were names floating around in the media about the cast of the film, none of us from Vishesh Films were commenting or reacting to any speculation."

Why were there murmurs all around? "In any filmmaking process, there is a casting cycle and narrations which go; that doesn't necessarily mean that anyone and everyone we meet would comprise of the final cast of the film", says Raksha in an exasperated tone.

Firebrand Mukesh Bhatt doesn't any mince any word though, "There were talks about Sonu Sood walking out of the film. Hello, when did that happen?

He was never in contention for the film since there isn't any part where he even fits in Jashn. These are all speculations because media has to fill in something everyday. If there is no news, the 'mantra' is to create one." How about Prachi Desai?

"Well, it was indeed the case of her being unable to do the film as her contract in Abbas Mustan's film mandates her next release to be from their production house. Obviously, we could not have waited for that to happen since in six months flat, we would be ready for the release of Jashn, " says Mukesh Bhatt on the record.

The film would be shot extensively in South Africa. Though earlier there were plans to shoot in Dubai, ultimately South Africa was the chosen destination. First schedule of the film would kick start on October 1 in Mumbai, which is expected to be at least a month long.

Later, the cast and crew would move to South Africa. "We were looking at mid-September to begin the film but a 15 day postponement doesn't bother at all. It's ok, we should be able to cover it up, " says Mukesh Bhatt positively.

A musical, Jashn would have music composed by both Indian as well as Pakistani artists. The film is aiming for a release in the first week of April.

Also, there is a strong buzz that looking at the kind of response films like Awarapan and most recently Jannat have enjoyed in Pakistan, Jashn too would witness a parallel release in Pakistan once it arrives in Indian theaters.
