Popular television actor Naman Shaw and his partner Bindu joined the galaxy of actors to have got their ''big chance'' to act in a Bollywood movie after they emerged triumphant in the Grand Finale of 9X's reality show 'Kaun Jeetega Bollywood Ka Ticket'.
At a glittering finale on Sunday night, amid presence of mentors Shabana Azmi, Mahesh Manjrekar and Zeenat Aman, Naman and Bindu were handed over their Ticket to Bollywood for the movie produced by Balaji Telefilms and Popcorn Entertainment by Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty.
Speaking about their performance, Suniel Shetty said, ''the Jodi is a real treat to watch for and I really liked at the way they presented their episode.'
' As their names were announced, Naman and Bindu, who had their mentor Shabana Azmi rooting for them right from the first episode, got emotional thinking about their journey on this show.
Speaking about his experience on 'Lux Kaun Jeetega Bollywood Ka Ticket, ' Naman Shaw said, ''the journey of 13 weeks has been the most memorable journey. This ticket gives me the chance to try my luck at Bollywood which is the ultimate dream for every actor.
''That's not all. Through all the fights and the controversies we have made so many new friends. Bindu is a real treat to work with and I wish her all the best for her future.''
For Naman's partner Bindu too, it was a moment she would remember for a long time as her family, which was against her dream of joining Bollywood and hence had broken ties with her, dropped in especially to meet her and wish her luck for the finale.
What made it more memorable for the wannabe aspirant actor was Suniel Shetty's reassurance to her family after he came to know of their opposition to her Bollywood dreams.
When Suniel Shetty got to know that, he instantly assured her family and said that the Indian Film industry is the best industry that their daughter could belong to.
''We all work like a big family and are always there for each other when need arises. Actually this is the only industry where caste and other barriers do not exists. So please be sure that your daughter is working for a safe industry and accept that, ''Suniel Shetty said.
Speaking on the victory of Naman and Bindu, Shabana Azmi, mentor of the East zone said, ''I am happy to contribute to the efforts to identify fresh talent for Bollywood and the winner being from my zone makes me pleased further.
I always believed in them and have been supporting them from the beginning. I wish them all the best and hope that they take all the learning's that is given to them by the other mentors.''
The ''70s glamour girl Zeenat Aman'', mentor of the Central zone, said, ''the show was about discovering new talent and hence needed to be treated with special care.
I wish the winners all the best and to Chetan and Sanyogita from my team I wish to tell them that they are the best and opportunities will come for them. They just need to be patient.''
In a scene flooded with music reality shows, 'Kaun Jeetega Bollywood Ka Ticket' is among the rare reality shows which aimed to look for acting talent in the industry. The last reality show which scouted to acting talent was Zee's 'Cinestars Ki khoj'.
