Himesh Reshammiya turns modest!!

He may look like one of the most confident heroes in B-Town with divine intervention propelling him to where he's today, but Himesh Reshammiya isn't really all that confident about his so called acting skills. More so about his latest big one, the 'Karz' remake where he reprises the role of Monty made famous by Rishi Kapoor almost three decades ago.

Why else would he turn truthful suddenly and say that Ranbir Kapoor would have been a better choice for the role and would have ensured the film's box office success? And also things like Rishi Kapoor being the best looking 'Monty' and he being the worst!

He's been quoted as saying, "Ranbir would have been a better choice as he would have brought success instantly. The film would have been a super hit before its release. I have seen 'Bachna Ae Haseeno' and I found his acting impressive. Acting is in his blood because of his great legacy."

Trying to sound humble (now, that doesn't suit good old Himes Bhai) he also pointed out that it's unfair to compare the two as the original was a classic.

He also added, "We've tried a lot by adding a new twist to the story. I think the audience should see the film keeping in mind that they are watching a non-professional actor and dancer.

I consider 'Karzzz' as my first film because in my debut film 'Aap Kaa Surroor', I played myself. All other actors have performed well, but I can't comment on my performance. The audience will decide and give their verdict."

Now Himesh has himself admitted that 'Karzzz' (October 17) is very important to his career because its box office performance would affect his other forthcoming films (the weirdly named 'Kajra Re', 'Mudh Mudh ke na dekh' or 'Ek Love Issshtory, 'Hey Gujju' etc).

So now we know why Himesh bhai suddenly decided to pull the humble act! He's kind of insecure and maybe thinks sounding modest will ensure sympathy and success. Now whether he wishes to continue being unpretentious even after the movies do well is another matter altogether!
