First he got his daughter Sonam, Sanjay Leeela Bhansali's 'Sawaariya' as a launch pad. With the movie tanking and Sonam not getting her due (according to him), he's ready to make a movie which presents her well.
The hurry could also be because it was Ranbir Kapoor who walked away with the bouquets after the confusing movie bombed. Not only that Ranbir also left 'old pal' Sonam and sided with her rival Deepika, who is today the more in demand star.
Sonam was left with another 'good friend' Kunal Kapoor and Rakeysh Om Prakash Mehra's long stuck 'Dilli 6' which is likely to be an Abhishek Bachchan centric film.
Papa Anil thinks that his daughter is meant for better things in life.
Since he's also a producer he's planning to spend big money on a movie which focuses solely on her.
Sources claim that this ambitious project is roughly based on the classic English novel 'Emma' penned by British author Jane Austen in the 19TH century.
Since Anil Kapoor's leaving no stone unturned for his dear daughter, this one is likely to be a big budgeted affair with a big star cast and great production values. Sonam Kapoor of course will be at the centre of things as the Indian 'Emma'.
Now we'll have to wait and watch to see whether Anil Kapoor manages to do justice to a classic like that. After all even a so called brainy and internationally acclaimed director like Gurinder Chadha ended up making a mockery of another Austen classic, with the terribly made 'Bride and Prejudice'!
