After 'Rang De Basanti', like some of his other co-stars Kunal Kapoor failed to cash in on the success of the film! All the movies he chose and bragged about so much like 'Hattrick' and the Yash Raj biggies 'Laaga Chunari mein daag' and 'Aaja Nachle' tanked.

Since then the choosy actor has only been seen playing cameo roles in 'Bachna Aee Haseeno' and 'Welcome to Sajjanpur'.

The actor who hates to be a part of the rat race and takes good time for prepare for his roles, is now getting ready for his next action film.

Yes you heard it right. The tall and sinewy actor will now be beefing up for an out and out action film.

Apparently in this Anurag Kashyap's next film he's playing Raj Comics' superhero Doga.

Of course keeping his physique in mind, it sure is a little hard to digest. But then if flabby Abhishek can play a superhero in 'Drona' and Himess bhai can turn into a B-Town lover boy, why should scrawny Kunal be far behind?

Kunal admits that he's excited about being in a solo lead project and a big budget action flick.

Now since the movie will require at least a year of pre-production and will reportedly only begin late next year, Kunal will get ample time to work on his new look!

In the meantime the actor is busy preparing to play a Kashmiri character in Rahul Dholakia's 'Lamha' with Sanjay Dutt and Bipasha Basu!

Just hope all his homework helps him to at last live up to the expectations that were set post RDB
