Priyanka Chopra has not been having a good run at the box office for long now. But with her grand Diwali release, Fashion she aims to achieve both critical as well as box office success.

Priyanka is confident that in her author backed role in this Madhur Bhandarkar film she will be able to silence all her critics. Here is what Priyanka has to say about Fashion and much more -

How Fashion happened - I had met Madhur umpteen numbers of times before he even thought of making Fashion. We both actually wanted to work with each other.

Then finally when Madhur came with Fashion to me I really liked the concept we sat on the script 3 to 4 times I guess it was due to happen.

And fashion seemed the ideal script for me. It took a while for me to understand what I wanted to do because it takes a lot of responsibility for a female actor to take this film on your shoulder.

I knew I had to do this film I was jus scared will I be able to do this film. There are a lot of ups n downs in my character a lot of graph. So it took a lot of time to convince myself and once I was convinced so we jus started.

My role in Fashion - I play Meghana Mathur who hails from a small town in North India and wants to become a model she's very clear about that. The film begins with how she comes to Mumbai and her journey starts.

She goes on to become very successful. But with success follow a lot of ups and downs and her failure and her victory. For this role I myself wanted my character to look very different physically.

When I actually came in the industry and now if you see my pictures there is a lot of metamorphosis in me. So I wanted the same thing for my character. Experience teaches you everything.

With stylist Rita Dhody's help I managed a lot of things. I had lose on around 5-6 kgs. It was very easy for me to understand Meghna because Madhur very well knew what he wanted.

Preparing for Fashion - On the sets of Fashion there was a lot of give and take not only between me and Madhur but everyone else also. And the best part of Madhur is he is always ready to listen to you, he's very receptive. There was always a team effort and improvisation on the sets.

On working with Madhur Bhandarkar - We got along very well with each other. We are very different from each other he keeps joking and laughing on the sets and I like serious atmosphere. So in the start we had a bit of problem but we both understood our way of working after a point of time.

We both compromised a bit with our working ways but it was great working with him. And I think Madhur should make comedy films I don't know why he is making such serious films! How he manages to get all the kinds of emotions.

He is incredibly talented he knows the pulse of the story and that is what makes his films relate with the audience. He was a great driving force on the sets.

Catfights on the sets - Sorry to dissappoint you but there were no catfights on the sets at all! In fact I got to know Kangana and Mugdha through this film.

I didn't know them before both are such lovely girls. I also learnt Marathi from Mugdha, she use to always correct my diction. Half of the crew including Mugdha and Madhur were Maharashtrian so they use to help me a lot with Marathi.

Mugdha has helped me a lot to shape my character she thought me how to walk she told me a models point of views.

Kangana Ranaut - Kangana is very talented, she is pure raw talent. She was amazing when I did my first scene with her. When Madhur told me Kangana is palying sonali's character I said it was the perfect casting.

She's got the right body structure of a model. I really had to work hard but she just had it. Her wild mane her style was just fantastic.

When you will come out of the film you will say she just blew of your mind. I am surprised we got along with each other because kangana is very outlandish kind of a girl. I am glad I got to know these girls and we are very good friends now.

My co-star Arjan Bajwa - Arjan plays a romantic lead opposite me. He is a typical Punjabi boy, as Punjabi as it gets.

He is funny but a very very good actor he knew his character very well and more than anything he is extremely focused and dedicated.

Very professional he uses to sit with madhur all the time and understand each and everything so well, very available. It was great working with Arjan as well. As an actor I am very sure he'll do very well.

Success - I am confident that Fashion will succeed and all those doubting my acting abilities will get their answer. I am more confident about the film because its genuinely a well made film.
