Rajkumar Hirani's next, 3 Idiots starring Aamir Khan, Kareena Kapoor, Sharman Joshi and Madhavan cannot entirely called a book adaptation of Chetan Bhagat's best selling novel, Five Point Someone.
During the Ghajini teaser launch at a suburban Mumbai multiplex we interacted with Aamir Khan.
When we asked Aamir whether he was playing Ryan's character from Bhagat's novel in 3 Idiots, he replied,
"Well, Raju (Hirani) has only taken the basic plot line of Chetan's novel.
The film does begin just like the novel but takes a completely different turn as it proceeds. Raju has worked on the screenplay and given
his own additions making it quiet unlike the novel in totality. So the film cannot be called completely based on the novel."
Ryan's character that Aamir is reportedly playing in the film, is supposed to be handsome and adventurous and is that of one who always says that he loves his friends more than his parents and that he doesn't want to
mug up things and he gets low grades, in the college exams.
He wants to do things in his own way and he tries to do that and he too gets into the five pointers. But Aamir informs, "Just like the film, my
character too may appear completely different from the book."
