Well, she looks stunning and all despite her age (according to IMDB and Wikipedia she's 41 which is shocking, no less)!
She made her debut way back in 1996 with 'Gudiya' which not many noticed.
Though she did a satisfactory job in 'Black', 'My Wife's Murder' and 'Tango Charlie' it wasn't enough to make her a star.
Her international flicks have either been stuck or have sunk without a trace (like 'Marigold', 'The Forest', 'It's a Mismatch')
To make matters worse, in between there have been badly made Bollywood movies like 'Strangers' too.
However currently she's very happy with her work in Ketan Mehta's 'Rang Rasiya' and is thrilled that her Nobel laureate father Amartya Sen loved it after catching it at the recently concluded London Film Festival.
The movie was well received at the festival alongside Danny Boyle's 'Slumdog Millionaire'.
She's reportedly said, "Both my dad and Lord Meghnad loved 'Rang Rasiya'. Lord Meghnad has become a big champion of our film. He praised my performance to the skies and noticed so many nuances. Baba flew down all the way from China where he was attending a conference to attend the premier. He just loved it. He said he was glad he made it to London in time for the screening."
Well, so the lady does have some reasons to be happy about!
The movie is based on legendary painter Raja Ravi Varma's life played by Randeep Hooda. It's a sensuous love story of the great painter and his muse, Suganabai, the role essayed by Nandana. The buzz is that Nandana has exposed a lot in the film.
Looks like all the hard work is paying off for her!
Now we'll have to wait and watch to see what kind of commercial response Ketan Mehta's 'poetry in motion' gets. Bet Nandana is eagerly waiting for the same!
