Sounds so much like a blessing for baby B. After all he must have got fed up of doing stunts and so much hard work uselessly for that huge flop called 'Drona'.
To make things easy for him director Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra decided to hire a body double for him from Hollywood, no less for the life risking stunts.
The 25 year old Dean Alexandrou has previously done stunts for small time Hollywood films like 'Vampire: The Turning' and 'The Kingmaker'. He has also won the British blackbelt Taekwondo championship in 2001.
He was also Imran Khan's body double in another super flop 'Kidnap'.
According to a source, "Dean is known for performing very risky and difficult aerial and acrobatic stunts. He is British, Rakeysh's film needed Abhishek do a lot of aerial stunts and Dean was the perfect person for doing those. He is trained in martial arts and he is also a champion in Taekwondo. He has done some amazing and risky stuff in the film."
'Dilli 6' also has Sonam Kapoor as the leading lady along with Om Puri, Atul Kulkarni, Divya Dutta, Rishi Kapoor and Tanvi Azmi.
Big B incidentally plays grandfather to Abhishek and Waheeda Rahman plays his grandmother in the film which started its shooting schedule in December last year.
The film's plot is believed to be based on Rakeysh's growing up years in the Chandni Chowk area of Old Delhi. 'Six' is the pin code of Chandni Chowk.
It will be interesting to see how this film works out for Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra after the super successful RDB in 2006!
