Jackie Shroff is also going to be a part of the mega budget venture Veer. After getting in Mithun for the role Salman now has Jackie too in for the role. This film which is written by Salman Khan has completed its first schedule and is about to begin the next one in a few weeks time.

According to sources Salman felt Jackie was the right choice to play the character as its an important character of the film.The film is set in 1860 and jackie will be seen in a completly different persona.He will start shooting for this film on the 27th of this month in Mumbai.

When contacted, Jackie said that, he is very excited about his role but cannot disclose much about his role.

Its going to be his third period film after Eklavya and 1942. Jackie was also supposed to play Kangana's father in Raaz -The Mystery continues but that dint workout as he was doing the filming for Malik Ek but he was dissapointed as he had liked the script.

Jackie and Salman will be seen together after 2000 where they worked for the film named Kahin Pyar Na Ho Jaaye. Veer is a period action film set in 1860 and its story is written by Salman Khan and directed by Anil Sharma. -Preity Punjabi
