Sunny Singh whom we last saw in Jaya Bachan's Dekh Bhai Dekh had become famous amongst the viewers with his innocent performance.

A grown up Sunny now is amongst the cast members of Ahmed khan's Paatshaala. As he is shown as a school student in the film, to get a hang of feeling like a student, Sunny actually went back to school.

According to sources, "Sunny plays a tenth standard student in Ahmed Khan's Paatshala. As he has been out of school for long he thought it would help him in his role if he would go back and attend school for a few days again. Sunny is an ex student of Spring Field High School in Bandra.

He went back to his school for a few days and observed the behaviour of the students and the atmosphere of the classrooms.

He would sit through all the seven hours in the classroom just like any other student did. He spoke a lot with all the students asking them about various topics like their studies their subjects the crushes they had.

He even managed to meet some of the teachers who used to teach him when he was a student himself. He told us about his experience and said that he had the time of his life, those five days that he spent in his school was fun and he actually started feeling like a student himself.

He feels that things are not the same these days and the students now have a different mind set. He said that his experience of going back to school helped him a lot while playing his character and that the director Ahmed Khan was very impressed with what he did."

Paathshaala also stars Shahid Kapoor, Ayesha Takia and Nana Patekar and is set for a 9th January 2009 release date.
