Talking about his unenthusiastic approach to promoting his earlier films Salman tells us, "Why should I? See I believe that if a film is good people will automatically come to the theatres to watch it. If it is bad it will not do well. I don't think by promoting a film it will make any difference."
When asked what made Yuvvraaj so very special for him the controversial actor replies, "It is the first time I am doing a film with Mr. Subhash Ghai.
He had approached me earlier before with 2-3 scripts but I liked this one better so I signed it. I could not relate to the earlier subjects. Yuvvraaj became special for me because it is a story about brotherhood and bonding. I could relate to the emotions because I have two brothers in real life too."
So what exactly is Yuvvraaj about? "It is about three brothers played by Anil Kapoor, Zayed Khan and myself. The film is about the manipulations of the brothers to get the ancestral property.
I play the second brother, Deven who is trying to get a part of his ancestral property to fulfill the conditions that have been laid down by his to be father in law (Boman Irani) to marry his daughter (Katrina)." reveals Salman.
Salman sharing his shooting experience recalls, "It was great fun working with Anil Kapoor and Zayed. We literally had a blast on the shoot. We used to work out together and Anil Kapoor used to come in the shortest of the shorts.
He was the one who did heavy weights while Zayed and me did light weights. Since Zayed was the youngest amongst us he used to always be in the line of fire.
About Katrina Kaif, Salman says, "She is a delight to work with. She knows her lines well and has commendable confidence. She gives no retakes. She is a great actress to work with."
But if there is one actor Salman is mightily impressed with then it is Akshay Kumar. Salman feels, "If there is any actor who has really grown fast in this industry then it is Akshay Kumar.
He has impressed me by his acting skills in the recent past. He is very sincere and hardworking and that is why he is there on the top today." concludes Salman.
