The film is being appreciated for the sheer 'identification' factor it comes with due to which a common man is bound to relate to the characters and the situation.
Also Abhay Deol is winning accolades for his 'super-confident' act as a 'super chor', something which is the most critical factor for the film to succeed. Though the film is said to have a complex-n-layered narrative, it's the fast pace which makes OLLO an engaging watch.
Also notable is the presence of Neetu Chandra who is said to have come up with yet another good performance after ONE TWO THREE, TRAFFIC SIGNAL and GARAM MASALA.
"Well, let me not say anything more than what you have heard about the film. Audience should be able to judge the film and the performance by themselves this Friday.
In any case, the appreciation that OLLO is getting doesn't surprise me since Dibakar's execution has been spot on from Day One. We were all confident that the film would manage to strike a chord with the audience", says Neetu Chandra.
As for her enacting a Punjabi character in the film, she says, "I have been doing different kind of roles since the beginning of my career and don't see any big deal in being a Delhi based Punjabi girl for OLLO.
Yes, I did concentrate hard to get the right tone and vocabulary in place to go in synch with the character but come on, that is anyways required for an actor."
From being a Bombay girl in GARAM MASALA to a Kathiawadi girl in GARAM MASALA to a Haryanvi Jat in ONE TWO THREE and now a middle class Punjabi girl in OLLO - she certainly seems to be on a roll?
"Guess, I am just trying to demonstrate the virtue of National integrity", smiles Neetu before signing off.
