Now after Madhuri Dixit, it's Shah Rukh Khan whose name features in the title of not one but two films in the making.
While one of them is the Vinay Pathak starrer SRK (note SRK stands for Shivaji Rao Khote in this case), the other one is even more funnier- the film is called Shah Rukh Bola Khoobsurat Hai Tu and is directed by none other than actor-director Makrand Deshpande,
We spoke to Makrand to find out what the film is all about? "Shah Rukh Bola Khoobsurat Hai Tu is about a young girl who sells flowers on the road.
One day, a car stops by next to her and she hears a voice that says you are beautiful. That voice comes from none other than superstar Shah Rukh Khan. What happens to her after that experience is what the film talks about."
So how did he come up with a title like Shah Rukh Bola Khoobsurat Hai Tu? "See Shah Rukh Khan is someone who has an enigmatic personality. I have been a fan of Shah Rukh since long.
He has a certain impact on people when he meets them. And when he tells someone that you are beautiful, it surely means a lot. I am sure every girl would want to hear Shah Rukh Khan calling her beautiful."
Coming to the casting of the film, who all star in it? "The whole cast comprises of theatre actors and the young flower-selling girl is played by Ritika. I too would be seen in a small role and yes Shah Rukh also makes an appearance in the film, " says Makrand.
While Shah Rukh Bola Khoobsurat Hai Tu is nearing completion and should release in the first quarter of 2009, Makrand Deshpande has already completed directing yet another film called Dream Man. Dream Man is a fantasy film set against the backdrop of Bollywood and has Kay Kay Menon playing multiple roles.
