Karisma Kapoor`s career has reached a new octave as she begins shooting for Cinetek banner`s daily telecast, Karisma-The Miracle Of Destiny, to be aired on Sahara TV. When showman Raj Kapoor`s granddaughter decided to break norms and step into filmdom, she knew that she was stepping into troubled waters. The `Kapoor` surname, more than being a password to stardom, was a heavy cross to bear on Lolo`s frail shoulders.

But with sheer verve, not only did Lolo do the Kapoor khandaan proud, but also embarassed the chauvinists who endorsed different set of norms for star-sons and star- daughters.From her gawky Prem Qaidi days, Karisma has emerged as a star actress, who is a blend of the cerebral and cosmetic. The pragmatic actress, taking a cue from would be father-in-law Amitabh Bachchan (who made TV hosting prestigious with Kaun Banega Crorepati), after acting in milestone movies Fiza, Zubeida and Shakti, has opted for television which promises great perks with popularity.

The serial which is written by veteran writer Sachin Bhowmik, chronicles the protagonist`s life, right from youth`s spring to an aging autumn. Directed by Anurag Basu, it`s star cast includes Sanjay Kapoor, Arbaaz Khan and Jugal Hansraj. To be telecast from January 2003, the soap has music by Anu Malik. Till then television addicts can only wait to welcome their blue-eyed guest.
