SRK and Aamir have completely transformed themselves and are appealing to the younger crowd while Sallu is still his old self.
His physique was once upon a time the best in Bollywood but now he doesn't seem to be maintaining it. He no longer has the lean look which is the in thing these days. All the after effects of his late nights show on his puffed up face.
He definitely does not look like a leading Bollywood superstar. Let's go down the memory lane of this Bollywood stud. Inspite of giving some mega hits Sallu was never labeled the superstar of Bollywood. His mega blockbuster Hum Aapke Hain Kaun released with Akshay's Mohra and Main Khiladi Tu Anari.
Then in 2003 came Tere naam where he appeared with a different look but more than the film he was in news because of his break up with Aishwarya and his insane behaviour.
The year after that we saw him in Phir Milenge which was critically acclaimed but as it released with Dhoom, the later received more popularity. His next super hit was No Entry which was labeled as a multi starrer, but all the Sallu fans and the viewers know it very well who the real star was.
The very next year his Kyunki released with Garam Masala and once again Garam Masala stole the limelight.
In the year 2006 Salman and Sanjay Dutt came together with their respective films like Shaadi Karke Phas Gaya Yaar and My name is Anthony Gonsalvis but they both flopped following with his Jaaneman which fell flat in front of SRK's Don.
2007 came with a much needed hit Partner, where Sallu was opposite Govinda his friend. As it was Govinda's comeback film he helped him come back with a bang. But the taste of success dint last for long when SRK struck him with Om Shanti Om and he couldn't stand the blow with his cameo in Saawariya.
This year again hasn't been of any help to him as he started with films like God Tussi Great Ho which came with Bachna Ae Haseeno and somehow Ranbir stole the show.
Then it was Heroes which came with Road side Romeo and both the films did not fair in the boxoffice at all. Finally the year ended with Yuvvraaj which bombed drastically leaving Salman far behind in the Khan race.
His next film Veer is put aside because of his current box office status and the economical crisis happening everywhere. Aamir and SRK are not leaving any stone unturned to surprise their viewers with their major projects one after the other.
Guess that's why Salman is not called the box office superstar?
