Raaz The Mystery Continues is said to have been inspired by Indian myths and legends, focussing on the relationship between good and evil.

Kangana Ranaut once again plays a supermodel in this spooky thriller, alongside Emraan Hashmi and Adhyayan. Emraan is reported to have shed a few pounds to match the physique of his character.

Raaz - The Mystery Continues is not intended as a sequel to Bhatt's previous release, Raaz (meaning secret), which starred Dino Morea and Bipasha Basu in lead roles.

Released in 2002, Raaz turned out to be the second largest box office grosser after Devdas during that year.

Raaz actually spearheaded the birth of experimental cinema within Bollywood and made the world of the supernatural fair game for Indian film-makers. The movie was readily accepted by audiences craving more than the average family song and dance movie.

2008 saw the successful release of Phoonk and the thriller titled 1920, which both did well at the box office. This suggests that the horror genre could prove popular in 2009, making Raaz a good prospect.
