Yet another aspiring actress has made a debut on television. Wasna Ahmed is the Zee's new face starting her acting career with much-talked show Shree which came on air from 22nd of December 2008. Neither to say the actress is very excited with her show.

"I am expecting a lot from Shree. My whole team is equally excited about it. Everyone has been working very hard on it," speaks the charming actress. Wasna got lucky to have been selected on the same day she auditioned for the show, "One day I got a call from my creative, saying that there is an audition for a new serial coming up.

I agreed and gave the audition and came back home. The same day I got a call from these people saying that I was selected as the lead for their serial." Wasna's onscreen name is also Shree and she shares a bit about her character in the soap.

"This girl who is named Shree is very innocent and very sweet by nature. However there is one problem with her that she gets scared very easily. Even a slight mishap frightens her to the core. That's Shree for everyone, "laughs Wasna.

The actress feels that her off-screen character is also quite similar to her on-screen one apart from her phobia towards lizards, "the character is somewhat similar to mine in real life. The only difference is that Shree gets scared of each and every thing in life and I get scared only of 'lizards'.

Lizards are one thing which I cannot stand and I am extremely scared of them. If I see anyone of them, even a small tiny lizard in my room, I scream on top of my voice until the maids don't throw it out." The show is termed to be different from the other dailies with a horror element attached to it.

"It is not like ghosts or any evil spirit but yes there is a tinge of horror in the serial. There are some evil forces of nature which scare Shree and how she tries to overcome her fear of getting scared. There are no ugly looking ghosts which will scare the audience.

The tinge of horror will surely be liked and appreciated by the audience. It is all about the presence, the feel of those forces which scares Shree," shares Wasna. Like any other television actress, Wasna too dreams of making it big on the silver screen.

She would not think twice if given a chance to opt for serial of film, "I feel there is a huge difference between the television and the Bollywood world. If television artists get an opportunity for a Bollywood entry they really don't just skip it. This is what I feel and I will too follow what I feel.

If it is about another serial then I will give it a skip but yes if Bollywood, then I will go ahead with it." But when it comes to her inspiration, the person doesn't belong from Bollywood but from the tele-industry.

"Shweta Tiwari would always be my inspiration. I love everything about her. Her dedication, her style, everything is worth an appreciation," says the actress. So any other projects in her kitty? "Nope, as of now, I just have Shree in my kitty and I just want to concentrate on that only.

I want to put in my level best for Shree. I want to make it big in this Industry, and I will put in all my effort to achieve that. I hope my efforts don't go unnoticed," speaks Wasna.
