Delhi girl and top Bhojpuri actress Sambhavana Seth, however, insists that contrary to the image of her coming across the media, she is an extremely fun loving person in real life.
''After 'Bigg Boss', people developed an impression of me as an agressive and tough girl. However, I am not at all aggressive.
In fact, I am an extremely fun loving person in real life.
If in 'Bigg Boss' I came across as aggressive, it could be because stress levels on the show were very high. You have seen how Payal behaved with me, indulging in backbiting, bitching and using derogatory words, all of which turned me aggressive.
I am not the aggressive type but at the same time will not tolerate any nonsense from anyone else and will return to them in the same coin, ''Sambhavana told.
The aggressive image notwithstanding, Sambhavana says the participation in the 'Bigg Boss' reality show had earned lot of popularity, especially from women and children.
''I have got immense popularity and lots of love from ladies and children something I had never imagined because I have been very abusive in 'Bigg Boss'. Many people thought I was of the quarreling and pugnacious kind and a very tough girl.
So it came as a surprise when the women and children whom I met post 'Bigg Boss' told me I was just fine in the show though they did feel I could have done with being less abusive, ''Sambhavana said on a promotional visit to the Capital for 'Dancing Queen', the new dancing reality show on 'Colors' general entertainment channel where Sambhavana vies with dancing divas like Meghna Naidu, Sanobar Kabir and Barkha Bisht for the title of 'Dancing Queen'.
Post-'Bigg Boss', life for Sambhavana has definitely changed for the better.
''Immediately after coming out of 'Bigg Boss', I got the reality show 'Dancing Queen' which gives me an excellent opportunity to prove myself at dancing on something which I really want to do.
I have also received offers to do other reality shows including comedy reality shows Infact, after ‘Bigg Boss' I would love to do reality shows. Besides, I am also getting offers for a lot of comedy serials and films. May be people thought I have a good sense of comedy. I would love to do films like ‘Khosla Ka Ghosla which think also suit my personality since in real life too I have a good co mic timing, ''Sambhavana said.
However, currently it is 'Dancing Queen' that keeps her occupied all the time.
‘'Working in a reality show keeps you occupied all the time. You do not even get the time to attend phone. For example when I am not shooting for ‘Dancing Queen', I am rehearsing. And, rehearsals are not just for one or two hours. We have to sometimes do it for eight to ten hours which is certainly not an easy job, ''Sambhavana said.
Speaking about her new show where each of the dancing divas act as mentors for rank newcomers in the dancing competition, Sambhavana said, ''the concept of ‘Dancing Queen' is very different from other dance reality shows. It is not just the usual "you come on stage, dance and then leave". Here you not only have to perform yourself but also make your protégé dance at your level. It's big challenge.
For me, it gave a chance to do something different from the reality shows onb air on various channels.
Moreover, it was on ‘Colors' which is the number one channel today. And, with judges like Jitendra and Hema Malini one could not say no.'' Sambhavana hoped that the reality show would reveal to the audience a side of her they had never seen before.
‘'I am sure this show will bring across to the people the feminine side of me. It will bring to the fore an image of me as a girl who is clear and straight forward and one who can bring across her point of view to others, ''she said.
On the item girl tag that had come to be attached to her, Sambhavana said, ''I don't see myself as an item girl but as a performer. For me, dancing is a passion. But I want people to know that I am also an actor. Whatever people might say, I consider myself as an artist and an artist can be at any level be it a dancer or an actor.''
