Producers Indra Kumar & Ahok Thakeria`s Rishtey stars Anil Kapoor, Karishma kapoor and Shilpa Shetty. The music for the film is composed by Sanjeev Darshan on lyrics by Abbas Katka. The film is directed by Indra Kumar. As many as ten singers have rendered their voices for the album including Shaan, Mahalaxmi Iyer, Udit Narayan, Asha Bhosle, Sunidhi Chauhan, Neha, Sanjeev Rathod, Sonu Nigam, Kavita Subramaniam, Anuradha Paudwal.

The album begins with `Har Taraf Tu Hi` is an okay number. But the rendition by Shaan is above average and Mahalaxmi has done a fare job, nonetheless the lyrics has nothing much to offer. `Rishta Tera Rishta Mera` is a sad soulful song. Udit Narayan has rendered in a heartfelt voice and has given a very appropriate treatment to the song. The lyric is also just passable. There are two more sad versions of the same number; one by Udit Narayan and the other for the child sung by Neha.

The next number is by Asha Bhosle. `Dilbar Dilbar` seems to be not composed well as taking the lyric in consideration. The lyric appears to be very peppy love song, but the treatment is dull with very bad music. Even Asha Bhosle is a waste for such a composition. The chorus in between lines is too bad and spoils the efforts of Asha Bhosle. Sunidhi Chauhan has sung the next `Deewana Deewana`. She has made a very interesting use of different vocal pitch. The overall song and music are too slow as if to increase the length of the song. The same song is repeated in the male voice rendered by Udit Narayan.

The next is a direct lift from a Michael Jackson hit `Apun Ko To` is a tapori song rendered bu Sunidhi Chauhan and Sanjeev Rathod. The lyric for the tapori song is penned by Sumit. The song is a total failure; first of all the music is too western secondly the lyric is too tapori and lastly there is no rhythm.

Sonu Nigam and Kavita Subramaniam have rendered this semi fast romantic song. `Yaara Re Yaara Re` again has a very western music. It is really confusing, why the Indian composers use senseless western music pieces for very Indian romantic lyrics and rhythm. The listeners cannot register either the lyric or the music. The next begins with a good piece of flute followed by ragas something like fusion music. Flute, sitar, piano are used all over in `Tu Tu Dil Mein` to create that romantic magic and seems promising. But the biggest drawback of the song is a very weak lyric and a worse composition of the song.

The song is rendered by Udit Narayan and Anuradha Paudwal. The album concludes with `Apna bana Na Hai` rendered by Udit Narayan and Anuradha Paudwal. The song begins with a very hummable stanza but then further on it looses the charm. All in all a dull fare and the album has nothing to offer as a good music. The album can be easily skipped.
