Juhi Chawla doesn't want to be the simple chick anymore.

With the reality dawning upon yesteryear's heart throb Juhi, she has finally agreed to shed her bubbly character and turn a lil mod. According to a report the chirpy actress has colored her hair blonde for her role in Zoya Akhtar's 'Luck By Chance'.

The character she plays is that of Minty Rolly, a producer played by Rishi Kapoor's wife.

Juhi was required to do something unique and that's why she decided to experiment with her hair color, something she has never done before. She colored her hair blonde!

She says, "When Zoya offered me the role I was extremely thrilled, even though I was told it was not a big role, I dint mind, it was different from all the other characters I have played before, and that was the most exciting part. Playing Minty was so much fun! And moreover I got to color my hair blonde, which also was something I had never done before."

The film produced by Excel Entertainment in association with Big Pictures also stars Farhan Akhtar, Konkona Sen Sharma, Isha Sharvani, Sanjay Kapoor, Juhi Chawla, Rishi Kapoor, Dimple Kapadia and Hrithik Roshan and is slated to release on the 30th of January 2009. It marks the directorial debut of Zoya Akhtar.
