Samir Dattani may not have had a successful career run yet but things may change for the better for young talented actor as he has managed to bag none other than the very well acclaimed filmmaker Shyam Benegal's next.

The film is a political satire, tentatively titled Abba Ka Kuan.

We have found out that Samir will be playing the lead opposite none other than Minissha Lamba in the film.

The film stars Boman Irani in a double role while Minissha Lamba plays his daughter.

Shyam Benegal's last venture Welcome To Sajjanpur was a box office hit.

Wonder if this film will really help Sameer revive his career now. Incidentally, the actor is hit in the South with his Kannada films. He is popularly called by his screen name Dyaan in Karnataka.

Meanwhile the actor is looking forward to his film 42 kms, which is all set for a release now. The film earlier titled Marathon was on hold for a long time now.

Sameer plays the role of a young talented footballer from Goa in the film who life is set on achieving a goal and becoming the greatest footballer in the country' But life has other plans for Sanjeev.
