Mithun Chakraborty, who brought the western form of Disco to India and made it popular with the masses way back in the 80's, will now shake a leg and share his expertise with the participants of Zee TV's new show.

Mithun Da makes a comeback on the small screen with Zee TV Dance India Dance as a Mahaguru. His movie Disco Dancer made him a dancing sensation across the Nation.

This time he is going to re ignite the dancing fever amongst one and all through Lux Dance India Dance and compel one to jump up on his toes and do a boogie. The show is meant for everyone with a flair for dancing; those who love to dance and those who love to watch others do so.

While the 3 Mentors don the role of expert choreographers of a particular genre (Remo – Master of Hip Hop; Geeta – Master of Indian Classical and Terrence – Master of Contemporary), Mithun da dons the role of a 'GrandMaster' in the show. His disposition would be that of a Godfather!

He is the dancing star of the millennium and the one to have given Disco Dancing, as a form of Dance, the recognition it deserves.

And now, along with Zee TV Mithun Da has taken a plunge to hunt for raw dancing talent and give them the necessary platform to showcase that. Dance India Dance will give them the right kind of exposure.

This is a platform which will transform a 'dancer' into a "Dancing Star". And Mithun Da has been tremendously instrumental in making a success out of this initiative. His own "rags to riches" story will be an inspiration for the contestants and a testimony that "hard work" will take them wherever they aspire to go.

He will also be a representative of the Audience and demand that the quality of the dance be high as the audiences deserve to see something spectacular.

Every contestant will find in him a Godfather who will appreciate them when they good as well as reprimand them as in when it's required. Whether Mithun Da is a strict guru or one who is lenient with the participants remains to be seen.
