Anil Kapoor is a relieved man. Worried stiff when it was announced that his Rishtey would be hitting the screens on the same day as Bachchan`s now much-delayed Kaante, he pulled out the stops promote his film. It now transpires that the Sanjay Gupta-directed copy of Quentin Tarantino`s Reservoir Dogs has been delayed by a week.

Kaante has been dogged by one controversy after another, but Kapoor is aware that Rishtey, Indra Kumar`s family drama, would have paled in comparison had the two films been involved in a box-office face-off.

Kapoor is now left to compete with lesser mortals, Sunny Deol and Sunil Shetty, whose Karz is slated for release on December 6. The trouble that Kaante got into with the censors has proved to be a boon for Kapoor. But wonder why he is underestimating Sunny Deol, whose Gadar - Ek Prem Katha was last year`s biggest commercial hit.
