"Yes, we are bringing Jashn on 24th April. This is the release date that has been blocked. We plan our movies effectively and during the September 2008 launch itself, we had announced the film's arrival in April this year.
So here we are", says Mukesh Bhatt whose banner Vishesh Films is now riding high after back to back success of Jannat and Raaz - The Mystery Continues.
"Music is the highpoint of the film", claims Mukesh Bhatt, which hardly comes across as a surprise considering majority of soundtracks created for films coming from the house of Bhatts go on to enjoy a catalogue status at the music stands.
Says an insider who has heard the music of the film, "If Raaz - The Mystery Continues was a beginning then wait for Jashn. Composers Toshi and Sharib have got an entire album for themselves and they have come out with flying colors."
Meanwhile, promotion of the film is expected to begin in the month of March. Though a teaser was played in theaters during the screening of Raaz - The Mystery Continues, the publicity of this Raksha Mistry-Hasnain Hyderabadwala (who are just credited as Raksha-Hasnain for Jashn) is expected to get intensified only after a few weeks.
2009 will continue to be busy though for Bhatt brothers, what with Tum Mile being next in line. Soon after the release of Jashn, promotion would begin for Tum Mile that stars Emraan Hashmi and Soha Ali Khan in the lead. The film would also bring back Kunal Deshmukh, the film's director, with Emraan Hashmi after last year's super hit success Jannat.
Coming back to Jashn, it won't be coming alone though on 24th April. As per reports that have just come in, Subhash Ghai's Mukta Arts would be releasing their Paying Guests on the same day.
Starring Shreyas Talpade, Javed Jaffery, Ashwini Choudhary, Celina Jaitly, Riya Sen, Neha Dhupia, Sayali Bhagat, Vatsal Sheth and Johnny Lever, the film has been in the making for some time. Written and directed by Paritosh Painter, the film is said to be an adaptation of a theatre play titled Paying Guest.
