Unable to get a hit film under her belt for a long time, leggy Shilpa Shetty seems to be developing a penchant for the off beat roles.Shilpa Shetty's two recently released movies Karz and Rishtey have gone bust at the box office. And the actress who has ardently justified her knack for the naach and gaana roles in Bollywood now seems to be having second thoughts about accepting the clichéd roles.

As her first step away from the Bollywood kitsch, Shilpa has bagged director Aruna Raje's semi-realistic film titled Laal Batti. The film, to be made within a skimpy budget, will have Shilpa in a voluptuous role. It is likely to hit the marquee early next year.Besides this, Shilpa has landed a big budget international project that she is rumored to have signed recently. The movie is said to have many Bollywood stars in it.

That's not all, grapevine has it that Ramgopal Varma is considering her to essay a stellar role in his 65 crore venture which stars Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan.
