‘A Wednesday' did well and proved to be a surprise sleeper hit some five months ago. And now it has found a new fan too. It's none other than Southern super star Kamal Haasan. Last year's sleeper hit, a small budget film drew rave reviews, box office success and awards galore.

The actor was vocal about his appreciation for the film and he has announced his plans to remake the film in Tamil and Telugu.

At the ‘Focus South' session at the FICCI FRAMES convention, the talented actor confirmed that he would be recreating Naseeruddin Shah's character, while Malayalam star Mohanlal would play Anupam Kher's part from the original.

Hassan has said, "My friend said it would be nice if I could do the film so I said why not. We have been talking about doing a film together for long and we worked on it."

Now with two big super stars, Kamal Haasan and Mohanlal this one looks like it would be a treat to watch. We just hope the final product lives up to the expectations and the hype.
