Everyone is talking about either Kaante or the movie which has `dared` to take on its might – Saathiya. And when talking about the Shaad Ali film, one cannot help but sing praises for its lead actors – Vivek Oberoi and Rani Mukherjee. While Rani`s performance is being raved about, there is an unstated reference to the male lead`s powerful show throughout, be it the light banter or the serious confrontation that the actor has infused his character with.
The modest actor isn`t talking about his performance at all. But if prodded, he could go on endlessly on the making of the film and the homework which the two were supposed to do to enact the dramatic scenes. "It was very difficult to show anger towards Rani, who plays my wife in the film. She and I share such a good friendship that I felt odd hurling profanities at her."
Critics have begun to pass their verdict on Vivek`s professionalism. When he plays good in the film, he is `angelic,` and when he shows off his unpleasant side, he is simply `viciously bad`.
