Don`t blame the Hindi film industry for going through a slump. All its top leading ladies are busy with their lives and the men obviously can't seem to hold up (the banner of Bollywood, silly) without them.

Here's a veritable who's who among heroines who're busy doing their own thing. Karisma is engaged and taking her sweet time to accept roles, Mads Dixit-Nene is off to be a mother and has taken a sabbatical for a few years to be with hubby and child, Nandita (Das) has just tied the nuptial knot a couple of days back so its holiday time for her – albeit briefly. And the latest to get on with her life is Kajol, who is expecting a baby soon. The news was recently confirmed, by none other than the father-to-be, Ajay Devgan.

No wonder then the industry's bigwigs have to settle in for the second best of the lot – the Kareenas, Amishas and Bipashas of Bollywood, even as Ash and Tabu get choosier about their roles and won't give every Tom, Dick and Harry, a date from their calendar.
