On Saturday Sophie was in Colombo for a show, it was the same day when LTTE had managed an air strike in Colombo. Sophie was really lucky and even managed to escape unhurt.
When contacted Sophie
she exclaimed" I really escaped the attacks and am really petrified by the whole incident now." Sources close to her adds, " The dancers for the show were stuck at the airport, and when the whole crew was going to
check out from the airport suddenly news came in that LTTE had dealt out two big Air Strikes On Colombo near the airport terminal and there after firing began near the airport.
The whole dance crew was
taken to the basement and there was a huge power cut that took place which lasted around an hour. It's so scary Sophie couldn't believe it.
Usually they always travel together. Sophie had to go to Jaipur with
some work so Sophie boarded a plane from Jaipur and the crew boarded from Mumbai we were on different flights. That's why Sophie reached Colombo early and was safe.
Sophie was constantly in touch
with the whole crew updating them about the happenings and also trying to keep them calm and composed. The whole crew escaped the incident unhurt and returned back to Mumbai the next day itself. Sophie
recollects, " The whole experience as a big shock to her."
