A huge set for Karan Johar's My Name Is Khan is being erected in Mumbai's Bandra based Mehboob Studios. Art
director Sharmistha Roy who has done most of Karan Johar's films is the designer of this set.
The studio has
been booked for the film till April 17th but still its not yet confirmed when the shoot shall began. That is because Shah
Rukh Khan is still recuperating from his shoulder surgery that took place last month.
It is however learnt that
Karan is presently shooting with his film's lead actress Kajol in various parts of Mumbai but SRK is not present as he
is not required for these scenes being shot.
Earlier the film has been shot in various cities of USA and also in
London. There is one more shooting schedule taking place in the USA later in coming months.
A song less film, My Name Is Khan is based on a true story directed by Johar and produced by Dharma Productions.
The screenplay is written by Shibani Bathija and the movie stars Kajol opposite SRK. The music is
composed by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, whereas cinematography is by Ravi K. Chandran.
The film is slated for a December 2009 release date.
