Bollywood is abuzz that Venus films are planning to remake K. Asif's hit Mughal-e-Azam with Big B and Shahrukh Khan in the leading roles. It is project that is likely to create a coup of sorts provided it gets underway. Jain brothers of Venus films are reportedly planning to make a film with ‘a historical perspective' for which some of the big names in Bollywood are under consideration.
The movie, presumably the remake of yesteryear classic Mughal-e-Azam, will most likely have Amitabh Bachchan playing the role of emperor Akbar, essayed by Prithviraj Kapoor in the original. To play Salim and Anarkali, the producers are considering badshaah Shahrukh Khan and stunner Aishwarya. It may be mentioned that Big B, SRK and Ash have earlier acted together in Aditya Chopra's Mohabbatein. Rajkumar Santoshi, who last directed ‘The Legend of Bhagat Singh' is likely to wield the megaphone for the movie.
