Jism is not even released and Biapasha has started to feel the heat. She may be saying that the script of the film nedded that raunchy and hot scenes but there are few takers for it. In a really unfortunate incident unruly fans of Jaipur mobbed actress Bipasha Basu and attempted to outrage her modesty on Saturday. She was in town to promote her forthcoming release Jism. The incident reportedly occurred after a special screening of the film at Jaipur`s Gaurav Tower.
Four youngsters, not satisfied with seeing the Bong bombshell from afar, got too close for comfort and made threatning advances. A shocked Bipasha is even said to have tried slapping the boys away before intervention of the local police restored a semblance of order. Some undeterred fans however continued chasing Bipasha right till the airport.
The attackers were later arrested for attempting to outrage Bipasha`s modesty. The assault on the leading lady was especially embarrassing for the film`s crew that was present in full strength. While producer Pooja Bhatt has gone on record to deny that Jism is an `uninhibited sex romp`, it seems to have made little difference to people who still expect fireworks in any film starring the sultry actress. Jism, that has Bipasha and ex-beau John Abraham in the lead, has been touted as an erotic thriller about a married woman who says yes to an extramarital affair.
Condemning Saturday`s incident, filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt described it as a sad day for all lovers of good cinema. According to him: "Viewers in other parts of India appear to be going Bihar`s way in making a nuisance of themselves. While some discipline still remains down South, people in northern India seem to have lost the film culture. Worse still, if such incidents provoke stars to react violently, they are then dragged into an unsavoury controversy for no fault of theirs."
