Ash is one busy actress these days. Riding high on success of Devdas, she has taken bollywood by storm. The current numero uno, has a clear edge over her closest rivals – both Kareena and Bipasha Basu. While Kareena is still best suited for teeny bopper romances, Bipasha has a niche with hip and unconventional roles.
But if there is anything that Ash is beginning to treasure apart from the heady feeling of competition it is the best known directors vying for her attention. The Yash Chopras, Subhash Ghais, Raj Kumar Santoshis, Shekhar Kapurs, Karan Johars, Bengal`s Rituparno Ghosh and even a Shyam Benegal are no longer oblivious to her apparent charms. "I am over committed and am in a rush to finish off Samir Karnik's film opposite Vivek Oberoi, Ghosh's Tagore classic Chokher Bali and a film with Abhishek Bachchan before I take on any other work," she told newsmen prying into her personal and professional life.
But if there is truly something that she will not spill the beans on it is the Hollywood film she has just signed and another Anand Mahendroo film in Hinglish opposite an international actor, or that she has midnight parleys with ex-flame Salman or the long chats she has with a certain Mr. Oberoi on the sets of their new film.
