Star Bharatiya Janata Party campaigner and Bollywood actress Hema Malini is using her yesteryear charm and
popular movie dialogues to woo voters in Orissa, where the party is going solo after its seat arrangement fiasco with
the ruling Biju Janata Dal.
Shouting dialogues like "Chal Dhanno, ye Basanti ki izzat ka sawal hai, " from Bollywood blockbuster film Sholay,
Hema, who held rallies and road shows in Talcher, Dhenkanal, Choudwar and two places in the Bhubaneswar on
Sunday, asked people to make senior BJP leader L K Advani the prime minister of India.
"You all have enjoyed my films. In return, I want your support in fulfilling my desire of making Advani the PM. We all
need peace and progress. This can only be achieved if BJP comes to power, " the former superstar said.
Claiming that Advani was secular to the core, she said the Congress is deliberately describing BJP as communal in
order to divert people's attention from its series of failures.
Reiterating her links with Orissa as a student of late Odissi dance maestro Kelu Charan Mohapatra, Hema cheered the
crowd with slogans of "Jai Jagannath" and "Jai Lingaraj". The 'dreamgirl', however, did not say anything against Orissa
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and his party BJD.
