Himesh Reshammiya, who is quite positive about proving a point all over again with his upcoming films as an actor, had completely given up eating sweets for last few months.
Though he carries a sweet tooth, during the shoot of his under production film ‘Ishk Unplugged' he made a strong resolve that he wouldn't touch any of them till the shoot got over.
Well, true to his promise, he stayed miles away from sweets during a non-stop 65 days schedule of the film, only to gobble up a dozen odd pieces of ‘Kaju Katri', his favourite sweet, on the last day of the film's shoot.
Reveals a source who saw it all happening on the film's sets, "Everyone knows that Himesh loves sweets. In fact it was quite a challenge for him to stay away from sweets for all these weeks but he ensured that he didn't break his healthy regime.
He wants to remain fit in his current and future projects and doesn't want any temptations to come his way. This is why it was a strict no-no to sweets."
It was an event of sorts though once the last shot of ‘Ishk Unplugged' was canned.
Says Swapna Joshi, the director of the film, "The situation on the sets had to be seen to be believed. True to his word, Himeshji got into a marathon sweet eating session on the final day of the film's shoot.
He loves Kaju Katris and the unit ordered an entire box for him. He must have gobbled at least a dozen odd pieces on one go. I could see the childish streak in him as he relished each and every bite that he took."
So is it going to be back to some heavy eating by Himesh Reshammiya in days to come?
"No ways", says a close associate of Himesh, "This was just for a day because Himesh had now reached Devigarh for the shooting of the last schedule of Pooja Bhatt's ‘Kajraare'. It's back to a strict and healthy regime for him."
Coming months are quite crucial for Himesh's career as an actor and it is much needed for him to remain in shape. Over next 12 months, he would have as many as four releases comprising of ‘Ishk Unplugged', ‘Kajraare', John Mathew's ‘A Love Issshtory' and Isshaan Trivedi's ‘Radio'.
