The Congress party Wednesday said that it has dropped the 'Jai Ho' song of the Oscar-winning "Slumdog Millionaire" from its election campaign.

"This (the song) is no longer being used. There are different advertisement modules for different phases (of polling), " the party's media department chief M. Veerappa Moily said.

"Jai Ho" had been the theme song for the Congress campaign so far. Music composer A.R. Rahman and lyricist Gulzar won the Oscar for the hit number.
