The movie is now going to be changed into a 3D format and will be re-released worldwide once again early next year. The production work on the 3D format has already begun! It will be a first of its kind experiment for any old film till date anywhere in the world.
In 2004, the colourised version created by Rajeev Dwivedi and Sankranti Creations was released theatrically marking another success for the film. Mughal-E-Azam is one of the biggest and arguably the biggest box office hit movie in Indian cinema. Adjusted for inflation, the movie's net revenue would put it on top of all Bollywood movies released until March 31, 2009.
We can just imagine how many hearts the angelic beauty, the late actress; Madhubala will break once she comes out of the screen literally, in 3 D.
