/> The week gone by was quite special for producer-director Deepak Tijori. He finally wrapped up the shoot of his costliest venture till date -Fox, which stars Sunny Deol and Arjun Rampal in lead roles and is Deepak's co-production with Zee Motion Pictures.

Even though the principal shooting of the film was expected to be over towards the end of last year (the shooting had kick started amidst much fanfare in May 2008), there were glitches towards the last stages due to which Fox came to a halt. Finally, the film was revived in the last week of May with entire cast participating in the shoot, hence bringing the production stage to a close.

"Am I relieved? Certainly yes. Was I frustrated? Not really. The film was delayed for a few months but in the hindsight, I don't see any problem in that at all. Whatever happens, happens for the good and in case of Fox, I can only see the positive side of affair", surprises Deepak because one was expecting him to be bitter about the delay in making of his thriller.

"Look at it this way", he starts explaining, "If at all Fox would have been completed as per schedule, we would have still brought it out only after school/college exams would have got over in March.

Now we all know that because of the stand off between producers and multiplexes, no new movies have been released for long. Even Fox would have sailed on the same boat."

Which means more heartburn considering it is even worse to see your ready film rot in the cans and join an ever increasing queue, right?

"Exactly", says Deepak whose Fox comes three years after his last directorial outing Tom, Dick and Harry (2006) which was reasonably successful at the box office, "Imagine the plight of a filmmaker who is counting every day and is under constant pressure to bring his ready product into theaters. Moreover, even when the strike is called off, no one knows whose film would release when."

He goes on to add, "Now even if that issue is sorted out, there would be multiple releases every week for next so many months. In the case of Fox, at least we don't have to worry about these things. We can afford to wait till the last quarter of 2009, and meanwhile use this time to do a good job in post production and then carve out a release strategy."
