/> 25 years after Jawaani, Anupam Kher and Sharmila Tagore have faced the camera together again. The film in question is Morning Walk, which brings the veteran actors together. Surprisingly, in spite of the fact that both of them have been pretty active in the film circuit for decades, no filmmaker thought of casting them together.

However, debutant director Arup Dutta grabbed the opportunity and brought them together in Morning Walk which is said to be 'a beautiful and heart tugging tale of two families different from one another yet connected through a special bond'.

The first ever production of INOX Motion Pictures, Morning Walk also stars Rajit Kapoor, Divya Dutta, Shayan Munshi & Nargis (Garam Masala, Pranali) in principal roles. Moreover, the Morning Walk is also special since it also features the 'Balika Vadhu' girl Avika Gor, who would be making her big screen debut with the film.

In Jawani, Anupam Kher and Sharmila Tagore had appeared as husband and wife with Neelam as their daughter. Produced and directed by Ramesh Behl, the film had also featured other senior actors like Moushmi Chatterjee and Navin Nischol.

Later, Anupam Kher and Sharmila Tagore were also a part of Dhadkan but they didn't share a single frame together. While Sharmila Tagore had played Suneil Shetty's mother, Anupam Kher was seen in a guest appearance as Mahima Chaudhary's father.

Now in Morning Walk, both Anupam Kher and Sharmila Tagore would be seen in full fledged roles together, though not as a married couple.

Instead, Anupam Kher plays the role of a Professor who moves from Kolkata to Mumbai in order to spend time with his son (Rajit Kapoor), daughter-in-law (Divya Dutta) and grand-daughter (Avika Gor) and mend broken bridges of the past.

During one of his morning walks, he comes across an old student and friend (Sharmila Tagore), now a mother of two, who has been a part of an abusive and cold marriage. Moreover, she also carries with her a strange but surreal truth.

Younger couple in the film is played by Shayan Munshi and Nargis. While Shayan plays the part of an upcoming singer, Nargis is a bright girl who dreams of pursuing her doctorate from the USA. She has the support of both her boyfriend and mother who stand by her in this desire of hers.

Says Alok Tandon, Director of INOX Motion Pictures, "Morning Walk marks our foray into production and we have ensured that the film appeals to family audiences.

INOX Motion Pictures was started with the endeavour to make films that offer quality entertainment to all. INOX has established itself as a strong player in the exhibition industry in a short span of time, we are confident of replicating the same success in production too."

With music by Jeet Gannguli, Morning Walk is all set to hit the theatres on the 26th of June, 2009
