Madhur Bhandarkar's Satta has put Raveena into Tabu`s league. She is winning all the accolades for her performance in the film. But one scene from the film doesn't seem to have gone well with the audience. Satta has Raveena playing a simple housewife, who is compelled to take up the political career of her jailed husband.
Although the film has the ravishing actress in a non-glamorous role, there is one particular scene in which she goes to bed with her political guru that has raised many a question. In fact, some theatre owners in the Hindi belt have even taken off the scene from the movie on their own without the director's permission.
Madhur, who won critical acclaim for his directorial debut ‘Chandni Bar', says that the scene was an intrinsic part of the story and could not have been dispensed with. "I think the lovemaking scene and the one where she takes on the gossiping party activists showed the gray shades in her character. And that was very important for Raveena's character," Madhur says, justifying the inclusion of the scene in the film.
