Amrita was a successful VJ at MTV before the acting bug bit her. She was known for her Bindaas talk more than her svelte look while everyone went gaga over her elder sis Malaika for her curves. But Bollywood has different set of rules. Everyone told her to shed her skinny image and put on some flesh. The trouble started when paired with the likes of Govinda and Suniel Shetty, she does look quite a kid and has to match her heroes` macho frames to complement them. Ironically, all her films with the said heroes turned out to be duds and she went role hunting once again.

This time she made sure she looked younger and slimmer for the Vivek Oberois and Akshaye Khannas and got herself a fresh portfolio. So far unfortunately, producers have not been able to decide whether to give her the nod or take some more time to mull over and have made her dangling for weeks. Waiting may not be all that difficult for someone who has waited for long. What is distressing is her tendency to put on weight which may start showing all over again and with no work on hand, she might just be fit enough for the Shettys and Sanjay Dutts?
