Now, with Aishwarya Rai on every producer`s mind and any director worth his salt dreaming of his pet subject with Ms. Rai's as his lead heroine, the equations obviously have changed. The latest buzz that has many in Mumbai filmworld excited about is Raj Kumar Santoshi`s next mega budget film Mahabharat. Says the hot shot director Santoshi, "A word from me had ensured that Ash shot for portions of Lajja. But since her portions had to be edited from the film, it was promised to her that she would bag my next."

But Mr. Santoshi, didn`t you promise Tabu and Karisma the same thing, both of whom were dropped and replaced by Manisha and Madhuri in the same film respectively? Today, it is Ash all the way and she is enjoying every bit of bliss coming her way by default.
