Dev D gal Mahie Gill seems to be fast moving up the success ladder in Bollywood, despite being two-three films old she has managed to bag a Salman Khan starrer.

It is learnt from industry sources that she has been signed on for Arbaaz Khan's maiden production Dabangg starring Salman Khan and Shatrughan Sinha's daughter Sonakshi Sinha.

This film is being directed by writer-director Anurag Kashyap's younger brother Abhinav Kashyap. She however is paired opposite Arbaaz Khan in the film and not Salman.

Her entry in the film seems to have taken place since she knew Abhinav well earlier during the making of Dev D. Abhinav was extremely impressed by her act in Dev D and Gulaal and is planning to create a whole new look for her in the film.

Apart from Dabangg she has on hand Aagey Se Right starring Kay Kay and Shreyas Talpade and Paan Singh Tomar starring Irrfan Khan. Both are UTV productions.
