What kind of books do you read?
Fiction, non-fiction and historical as well.
Which was the last book you read?
I just finished reading Ramesh Menon's ‘Mahabharat'. It is the brilliant adaptation. Soon I am going to begin with another book of his ‘Devi'.
How do you make a choice of book?
I am a literature student, so I have basic orientation towards certain kinds of books. I like historical novels; even though they are fictitious it gives an insight on that particular period. Otherwise I do read on friend's recommendation, or if I like the synopsis while choosing the book.
Do you go by Author or by content?
Definitely content and genre, but yes there are certain favorite author whom I like to read. For instance, if I liked Ramesh Menon's one book I will definitely go for another.
Which books have greatly influenced you?
Everything that you read influences your psyche, but couple of book that deeply impacted my life is ‘Many Life Many Masters' and ‘The Celestine Prophecy'.
Which bookish character do you identify with?
I love Emily Brontë of ‘Wuthering Heights' and also, Estella in ‘Great Expectations' by Charles Dickens
Who do you prefer to read, Indian or English writers?
Their cultural context is different. In contemporary fictions, I like to read mostly Indian writers.

I like the idea of holding a book, but have been reading online for fashion updates and travel plans.

Not any particular column, but I read everything written by Vir Sanghvi.
