After playing a cameo on hit TV soap "Balika Vadhu", veteran actress Farida Jalal is set to return to small
screen with a full-fledged role in a new show, details of which are under wraps.
Her comeback show, which is expected to be very "emotional" in its theme, is being produced by Dhiraj
Kotkar who had earlier made the movie "Karma - Crime Passion Reincarnation" under his banner Golden
Ticket Films.
"When we narrated the concept of the show to her (Farida)...the first thing she asked me is -- 'Are u really
going to make it?'. I said 'yes' and then she gave me a go ahead for it, " Waseem Sabir, who will direct the
series, told.
The 60-year-old, who has earlier starred in popular shows like "Dekh Bhai Dekh" and "Shararat", had said in
an interview that "television gives more scope to actors like me" and so she likes to keep coming back to the
medium.
Apart from her, the show will also feature Ayub Khan and Nigaar Z. Khan, said Sabir who had directed shows
like "Saat Phere" and "Remix" and some episodes of "Koi Aane Ko Hai".
It is also expected to be an image breaking show for Nigaar, who has been essaying the role of a
manipulative and commanding daughter-in-law in STAR Plus' "Mitwa Phool Kamal Ke" lately.
"Nigaar will be seen in a positive role once again after she played one in 'Ayushman', " said Sabir.
The name of the channel that will broadcast the show remains a secret.
