Ash has every reason to rejoice today becuase she has become the first Indian actress to be on the jury of the coming Cannes International Film Festival.The festival, starting in France from May 14, featured a special screening of actress' acclaimed movie Devdas last year.

Sources say that Ash was approached by festival president Gilly Jacob to attend the festival as member of the jury and the actress consented. Ash, who was discharged from a Mumbai hospital on Wednesday, will first fly to London in May to discuss her role in the next Bond movie opposite Pierce Brosnan before heading for Cannes.
