The news is finally out. After casting Aishwarya Rai in her upcoming movie Bride and Prejudice, the talented director Gurinder Chadha has finally announced the male lead opposite Ash too. The lucky man is none other than Martin Henderson, who was recently seen in the international blockbuster The Ring.

The New Zealand actor will play the character of Darcy in the film, which also features Namrata Shirodkar and possibly Vivek Oberoi. His character is a rich and arrogant American student living in London, who meets Aishwarya Rai during a wedding in India, where they fall in love.

Martin Henderson will fly to Cannes for the film festival, where he will accompany Gurinder Chadha and Aishwarya Rai for a series of promotional activities. The event will also feature Aishwarya Rai as a jury member.
